Founding & Executive Board Members
Collectively, Circle of Advocacy's Founding Board of Directors has over 30 years of experience supporting survivors of intimate partner violence / domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. Education of the Founding Board ranges and includes degrees in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Behavioral Neuroscience, and Early Childhood / School Age Education, as well as certified training in Reiki, Yoga, and Shamanic Healing.
Board Members
Heather has over 20 years of experience working with at-risk youth utilizing trauma informed care. She has led trainings for educators on child abuse, shaken baby syndrome, mandated reporting, CPR, and other child development topics. She volunteers with families who have children and adults with various needs and leads support groups for caregivers.
Rebecca has worked with vulnerable populations in a wide range of service areas, with a current focus on domestic and sexual violence. She works for Teller County Victim Advocacy as an advocate, supporting victims on their journey in becoming survivors.
Lynnda became passionate about volunteering when she retired 18 years ago after a 23-year career in college-level teaching, development of IEPs for students with special needs and management/administration in higher education. Lynnda has over 10 years of training and experience related to working with survivors of DV, IPV, sexual assault and human trafficking. She is a 24/7 crisis line advocate. She has also given high school and community presentations regarding opioid addiction and increasing awareness of the current fentanyl crisis.
Advisory Board Members
Ashlee is a nonprofit consultant. She has expertise in Strategically Growing Nonprofits to support maximizing impact. Ashlee has 11 years of nonprofit work experience, which is in the area of human services. Ashlee specializes in marginalized communities with a focus on racial justice, disability justice, gender equality, and victim services.
